Growing up, I never really knew what I wanted to do for a career. Work in foreign policy? NBA player? Maybe be a cop? How about a spy? The two things I knew was that I loved being part of a team, and that I loved teaching.
To me, teaching was never something formal that happened in a classroom, it was something that happened off-the-cuff in conversation, on a volleyball court, in the kitchen, you name it. I wandered through the metaphorical streets of my career, clinging to that passion, until I discovered something called “Learning & Development”. That’s when I found my place.
I found my way into the AdTech space working at Integral Ad Science, and found myself falling in love with not only teaching (again!), but also the feeling you get when you see someone’s eyes light up after finally understanding a concept they’ve long given up on. I loved that feeling, and pursued it every chance I could get. That’s why, when I came across U of Digital, I knew I had found something special.
The team at U of Digital is better than anyone at taking the complicated, sometimes boring, and ever-changing concepts of AdTech and turning them into something fun and simple. The work they do makes learners’ everyday work easier, and more enjoyable. I wanted to be a part of that.
Today, I’m excited to announce I’m joining the U of Digital team, and can’t wait to get started helping to demystify this industry for those who are curious, frustrated, ambitious, or just plain interested. Looking forward to seeing you in a workshop sometime soon!
